Lize Hanigan donosi Irski zvuk u Beograd
By zozon blog - February 24, 2015
Beogradski irski festival i koncertna agencija RockSvirke sa ponosom najavljuju premijerni nastup u regiji poznate irske kantautorke Lize Hanigan (Lisa Hannigan). Liza će nastupiti 21. marta u sali Amerikana, u beogradskom Domu omladine.

Appearing for the first time in the region, the renowned Irish singer Lisa Hannigan will perform live at the Americana hall in Belgrade’s Dom Omladine as part of the Belgrade Irish Festival.
Lisa Hannigan is a songwriter and musician who originally came to prominence in 2001 as the female vocalist from Damien Rice's best-selling breakthrough albums ‘O’ and ‘9’. She began her solo career in 2007 and has since released ‘Sea Sew’ (2008) and ‘Passenger’ (2011) to many plaudits, and has received award nominations both in Ireland and the USA. Lisa worked with many well-known musicians, from Ray LaMontagne to Herby Hancock. Lisa captures us with her charm and her mesmerizing voice leaves us breathless.
"There's so much jazz in the notes and phrases that she picks. She was singing the ninths, the elevenths of the chords... I mean some of the things sound like choices that Miles would have made." - Herbie Hancock.
Her voice is light and agile, her phrasing like exquisite plumage, and her folksy songs move with deceptive power, sailing on guitars, strings and Irish drama. She's a main attraction now, although a pairing with Ray LaMontagne ("O Sleep") is a reminder of how sweet, and drop-dead sexy, a duet partner she can be. Fly on, sister. - Rolling Stone Magazine
